Cleaning services
The NSW Department of Education will manage whole-of-government cleaning services from 1 January 2026. These arrangements will apply to all NSW public schools, as well as participating whole-of-government agencies and other eligible entities across the state.
The 2026 cleaning services arrangements will be conducted in two programs:
- Whole-of-government cleaning contracts to support most regions across NSW, except for the Hunter and Central Coast.
- Employment of cleaning services staff for the Hunter and Central Coast.
Cleaning services support during January 2026
During the January transition period, a support function will be in place to assist whole-of-government entities and NSW schools.
